Job Title: Support & Application Engineer

Location: Primarily based in Heathrow or Lutterworth, with travel to other locations and the head office in Warrington.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Support & Application Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the design, testing, and implementation of control system projects at various airports globally. This position offers a unique opportunity for both office-based design work and on-site project involvement, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in the design and testing of control system projects and modifications.
• Provide support to engineering departments based in Warrington & Lutterworth.
• Undertake a 50/50 split between site work and office-based design work.
• Assist senior engineers in commissioning and site modifications.
• Conduct routine service work.
• Design tasks including configuration modifications, HMI mimic design, PLC programming, hardware setup, cubicle design, and Verification & Factory acceptance testing.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree Level in electrical engineering (or equivalent).

Experience:

• Design and analysis of relay-based control systems.
• Programming-based design.

Personal Skills:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to document own work.
• Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
• Ability to deal with suppliers, internal and external customers.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible attitude and ambitious to develop as an individual and engineer.
• Keen to deliver solutions to customer requirements.

Knowledge:

• Awareness of Airfield Ground Lighting.
• Network architecture and fibre optic equipment.
• PLC, High-level, or Embedded programming.
• Electrical understanding, circuit diagrams, and PCB interpretation.
• Proficient in PC literacy, advanced user of MS Office products or similar.

Personal Requirements:

• UK driving licence.
